Abstract

A strategy for carrying out Environmental Education is the identification of a community’s environmental perception. Understanding how teachers perceive the environment in which they live in, together with their sources of satisfaction and dissatisfaction is important in order to carry out any study that takes into account the reality of the target audience. In this context, this research aims to diagnose the environmental perception of teachers at the IF-SC, Florianópolis-Continente Campus, through the use of a questionnaire. With this analysis, actions and strategies may be planned in Environmental Education to help teachers of future workers act with environmental responsibility in the development of their professional activities and their citizenship. Results show that teachers have a predominantly naturalistic view.
