About the Journal
Historical Background of the Journal
The Revista Momento was first published in 1983 by the publishing company of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG), in Rio Grande, RS, Brazil. It was edited by the Department of Education and Behavioral Sciences (DECC) at the institution up to 2007. It was an annual printed publication. When the Institute of Education was created in 2008, it was re-structured and named Revista Momento - Diálogos em Educação. It has been freely available online since then so as to increase access to its production. It became biannual in 2010 and has been linked to the Post-graduate Program in Education (PPGEDU) at the FURG, since 2012. As the result of the development of the academic community and, consequently, demand of publication of research papers in the field of Education, the journal has been a quarterly publication since 2018. All issues published before 2005 have been digitized in an attempt to recover the memory of the journal and to enable access to the printed issues. From 2005 on, all issues have already been available in a digital format.
