CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF THEMATIC DOSSIER PROPOSALS
1 GENERAL GUIDELINES
1.1 Thematic dossier proposals should be submitted to the site of the journal Momento -
Diálogos em Educação before March 30th, 2021 (use the link “Dossiê Temático”).
1.2 The format of the dossier should be either .doc or .docx.
1.3 After submission, proposals will go through a selection process organized and coordinated
by the Editorial Board of the journal Momento - Diálogos em Educação and by a guest editor.
1.4 Three proposals will be selected. They will be published in the 2021 issues in the
classification order of the selection process.
1.5 Results will be published in the site of the journal Momento - Diálogos em Educação before
April 15th, 2021.
1.6 Manuscript due dates will be informed to the dossier organizers after results are published.
The deadline of the manuscripts that will be published in the first issue is 30 days after result
publication.
2 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
2.1 Dossiers may be organized by up to three professors who must be related to a post-graduate
program in Education. Organizers may be authors or co-authors of only ONE manuscript,
considering the whole proposal.
2.2 The proposal should comprise from eight (at least) to ten (at the most) manuscripts that have
some thematic, methodological and/or theoretical articulation and that bring important and
original contribution to the field of Education, focusing on educational policies and processes.
2.3 Besides manuscripts, the proposal may include a book review on the theme and an interview
with a well-known expert in the area.
2.4 The organizer’s following identification elements should be attached to the proposal: full
name, e-mail address, Curriculum vitae or Curriculum Lattes/CNPq e-address and ORCID ID.
Foreign authors do not have to attach the Lattes/CNPq e-address.
2.5 The proposal should also include the following items in this order: title, introduction,
objectives, table of contents and abstract of every manuscript.
2.6 Abstracts of manuscripts should include the following items, in this order: title of the
manuscript, authors’ full names, institutional affiliations, degree, Lattes/CNPq e-address, ORCID ID, and key words. Their format should comply with guidelines issued by the journal
Momento - Diálogos em Educação.
2.7 In the case of a book review, it should include bibliographic data on the book, as
recommended by ABNT norms, and the reviewer’s full name, institutional affiliations, degree,
Lattes/CNPq e-address and ORCID ID.
2.8 In the case of an interview, it should include both the interviewer’s and interviewee’s full
names, institutional affiliations, degrees, Lattes/CNPq e-addresses and ORCID IDs.
2.9 Every manuscript may have three authors, at the most, who should preferably belong to
research groups. The journal requires that one of them, at least, should be a Ph.D. Publication
of manuscripts written by professors that belong to the same institution is limited to 15%, at the
most.
2.10 The proposal should represent the diversity of Brazilian and foreign authors, as well as the
one of teaching and research institutions. It should account for the representation of, at least,
three Brazilian regions. It should also include, at least, a manuscript written by an author
associated with a foreign institution. It should not include more than two manuscripts written
by authors associated with the same institution.
2.11 The proposal should not be submitted to any other journal while it is being analyzed by
the journal Momento - Diálogos em Educação.
3 ON THE SELECTION CRITERIA
3.1 The Editorial Board of the journal Momento - Diálogos em Educação has autonomy to
select the proposals and publish the results in its site.
3.2 Proposals that do not meet the guidelines of the announcement will be disregarded.
3.3 Selection of proposals will consider contribution, originality of the discussion and impact
of the publication, in terms of authors’ distribution in different regions and countries.
3.4 Proposals that include manuscripts written in English or Spanish will also be accepted.
3.5 In case of manuscripts written in English or Spanish, their titles, abstracts and key words
should be translated into Portuguese.
4 ON THE ORGANIZER’S RESPONSIBILITIES TOWARDS THE PROPOSAL
AFTER ACCEPTANCE
4.1 To act as a guest editor of the dossier throughout its evaluation and editing processes.
4.2 To previously analyze manuscript submission to make sure that it is in the scope of the
journal Momento - Diálogos em Educação, that the theme is relevant and that authors have met
the guidelines.
4.3 To keep in touch with the editors of the journal Momento - Diálogos em Educação so as to
ensure that the editing process complies with the schedule and previous arrangements.
4.4 To write the preface of the thematic Dossier.
4.5 To broadly announce the thematic Dossier in order to give visibility to the authors’
contributions.
Exceptions will be dealt with the Editorial Board of the journal Momento - Diálogos em
Educação.
