Abstract

Research on Environmental Education (EE) in Brazil is significant, despite being new. A good amount of the production derives from dissertations and theses. However, a difficulty of these studies is that most of them only use abstracts for the analysis of the production. A way to overcome this difficulty is to work with the full texts found in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). This study aimed at finding, cataloging and analyzing the theses on EE that were available in the BDTD. The following criteria were used for the selection of the documents: the text had to be found by using EE as a subject; and access had to be provided to the full text. Seventy three theses were selected and classified into 22 categories. The most common ones were: Psychology Teaching, Environmental Management, Water Resources and Human Sciences and Psychology.
