Discussing environmental issues in Latin America, the region with the highest number of murdered environmental defenders, is an act of resistance against the widespread violence. In Colombia, this situation is aggravated by an armed conflict that has been shaking the base society for many decades. However, since 2016, with the signing of a peace agreement between the State and the largest guerrilla group, a new era is being written. From the hopeful post-conflict framework, we wrote this article with the aim of analyzing, from a post-developmentalist perspective, the processes of Environmental Education developed in Colombian territory, before and after the agreement. Undoubtedly, the democratization and the collective dynamics on environmental issues have been implemented in recent years, much more visible in the work carried out after the signing of the agreement. However, this does not mean that social struggles for a dignified life and peace for all should be abandoned; on the contrary, the post-conflict period must be the stage for the construction of new logics that guarantee them.
