Genital self-image is an important factor in women's sexual health. The darkening of private parts can occur due to several genetic, hormonal, chronological, or behavioral factors. One of the resources used in rejuvenation and lightening of spots is chemical peel. Mandelic acid and cysteamine are agents used to lighten dark spots in the skin. Objetivo: Evaluate the effects of the association of mandelic acid with cysteamine in genital hyperchromia. This is a descriptive, experimental, and quantitative research. It included 9 women aged between 29 and 56 years and with phototypes between II and IV according to the modified Fitzpatrick scale, who complained about genital hyperchromia. Data was collected through an evaluation form with sociodemographic and clinical data, and physical examinations (using a color scale), and photographic records. To validate its results, the study relied on a personal satisfaction analysis, and a critical evaluation by an expert committee made up of 5 professionals in the field (working for more than 5 years and/or professors specialized in women's health or aesthetics), on a scale of 0 (none) to 10 (very much), the degree of whitening of the genital area. Personal satisfaction with the treatment was 8.78±1.30. As for the analysis of the expert committee, there was an improvement in the color of the genital area of 4.4±0.78. The groin and vulva color scale had a reduction of one degree. Despite the subtle lightening observed in the professional evaluation, it was found that using the association of mandelic acid and cysteamine produced a high personal satisfaction with the treatment.
