A Fuzzy system to aid the diagnosis of bone mineral density

This paper proposes a computational model for the calculation and visualization of bone mineral density from images of conventional X-rays. The initial idea is to get a range of values related to the processing and segmentation of medical images and apply them as input values in a interval fuzzy system, shaped specifically to accommodate this need. This proposal is part of a larger project called Project M-IPE (Medical Information Processing Environment), whose main objective is to provide processing and simulation of dynamic aspects based on medical information.Downloads
