Abstract

This paper aims to determine the parameters of the equivalent circuit of a three-phase induction motor based on load test data. These parameters are considered concentrated and include resistances and reactances associated with the machine's operating frequency. Utilizing data from the load test, a new methodology adopts heuristics to narrow down the search range for each parameter through optimization. The obtained values are subsequently compared with results obtained using the classical methodology. Finally, with the parameters in hand, results for line current, output power, and efficiency, all as functions of the motor's operating speed, are presented using the equivalent circuit. This provides a comprehensive view of the motor's performance under real operating conditions and validates the parameters obtained with the proposed new methodology. This provides a comprehensive insight into the motor's performance under real operating conditions and validates the obtained parameters using the new methodology.
